Your payment and rebate will be processed securely via encrypted practice management platform, Halaxy. We will collect your credit or debit card details prior to your first session and store them in Halaxy for ease of processing. Information regarding Halaxy's security and privacy can be found here. You will only be charged if you attend your session or our cancellation policy is enacted (see below).

Private payment is available for all consultations. You may also be eligible for a rebate - see below for details.

Medicare Rebates

​

A Medicare rebate of $93.35 (with a Registered Psychologist) or $137.05 (with a Clinical Psychologist)  may be applicable with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP or Psychiatrist. You can receive a rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Further information about the Better Access to Mental Health scheme can be found here. You will not be able to access your rebate until a MHTP is provided.​

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

​

Session Fee (1 hour) - $214.41

Report Writing (1 hour) - $214.41

NDIS funded services are available to plan- and self-managed consumers only.

Private Health Insurance

​

Depending on your Private Health provider and level of cover, you may be able to access a rebate for Psychology services. Please inquire with your provider to determine this. If seeking a Private Health Insurance rebate, you will be provided with a receipt to claim with your provider following payment of your session.

Support for Veterans and their Families

​

Mathew is a provider of individual counselling services for veterans and family members through Open Arms. Mathew can also provide allied health services to veterans via DVA referral. These services incur no out-of-pocket costs to consumers.

Clinical Supervision & Associated Services

​

Supervision with our Board-approved supervisor and Practice Co-Director, Mathew, is available for early career and provisional psychologists (4+2 and 5+1 pathways), and other mental health workers. Supervision sessions are charged at $180.00 per session. An additional 10% GST is applied where supervision is provided to registered psychologists or paid for by a third party (e.g., an employer).

Mathew can also provide ad-hoc assistance with aspects of the Provisional Psychology pathway, such as Case Report reviews; National Psychology Exam support; and specific supervision in child and adolescent case conceptualisation and intervention.

Missed Appointments, Rescheduling, and Cancellations

​

SMS and email reminders are sent out 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Should you fail to attend your scheduled appointment, or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice you will be charged 100% of the standard consult fee for your practitioner. If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, you will be charged 50% of the standard consult fee (i.e., $92.50 - $100.00, depending on your allocated practitioner). Rebates are not available for cancellation fees. These fees are charged to ensure the sustainability of Banksia Psychology & Supervision.
